Since 2014, the fellowship program has expanded from one to three spots every year. Fellows get exposed to variety of complex cases. The program provides excellent training opportunity in as it has growing patient volume, Telehealth services and Neuroscience Faculty trained in Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care. Stroke Fellowship candidates who are interested in Neuro-endovascular fellowship are given preference for Interventional Neurology Training program at South Shore University Hospital.

The Vascular Neurology Fellowship program has incorporatedtelemedicine training into the fellowship curriculum, thus providing additional skillset to fellows helpful for their career and job prospects thus making them ideal candidates for competitive Faculty positions. Northwell health is the growing leading health care system of 23 + hospitals that offers Stroke Faculty positions across NYC, Queens and Long Island after completion of stroke Fellowship.

Fellows participate in novel SPIRIT Fellowship collaborative program – a consortium of Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care Fellows across Northwell, Yale, Hartford, and Brown Universities. Fellows have access to be considered for NIH Stroke Net one year research Fellowship. This consortium has integrated research, clinical training, and clinical trials into the respective fellowship programs in a unique model that became nationally recognized. The fellowship program supports the NIH’s mission to maximize patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials while fostering the development of future physician-scientists.

Summary:
Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is seeking a board-certified/eligible well-trained neurologist to join our academic affiliated practice with offices in Rockland and Orange counties, New York. This is a community-based group comprised of four board certified multi-subspecialty neurologists, and four nurse practitioners based at a 400-bed community hospital located in beautiful Rockland County, about 30 minutes north of New York City. Seeking board-certified/board-eligible Neurologist for full-time position. The ideal candidate will be fellowship subspecialty trained. Epilepsy/EEG training and experience will be given the highest consideration but all subspecialties welcome.


The position is employed in a hospital system owned and operated multispecialty group, located in a pleasant welcoming suburban environment just north of New York City. The position is primarily office based and will have large built in referral volume from day one. Position is for Orange County. Hospital coverage will be shared with the group and includes the assistance of four nurse practitioners. There is a single hospital for coverage with approximately 300 beds including EMU beds and 5 portable EMU machines that operate at a high volume.


Candidate will join four full time neurologists, one of whom is an epileptologist, and four nurse practitioners who also take call. Call will be one in 7 – 8 nights and one in 7 – 8 weekends.

Good Samaritan Hospital has a JCAHO accredited stroke center, and all admissions are done by hospitalists or internists. OUTPATIENT NEUROLOGY

Excellent position for a B/E B/ C Neurologist. This hospital employed, clinic based, patient focused position will also include an occasional consult at other hospitals that are part of this system. This hospital is a member of the St. Lawrence Health Care system of Northern New York as well as Rochester Healthcare. Skills required include EMGs. This is a fill scope OUTPATIENT practice position.

Practices offer diagnostic services for both adult and pediatric patients. Diagnostic services on site include CT, EEG, EMG, MRIs, Ped Scans, and SPECT.

Neurologist Wanted

There is an exciting opportunity for recruitment of a neurologist to practice at Richmond University Medical Center and Apha Neurology on Staten Island. I am the chief of Neurology at Richmond University Medical Center and also run a large multiple sclerosis/private practice.

My group and Richmond University Medical Center on Staten Island are looking to bring on a board eligible/board certified neurologist in almost any subspecialty including neurohospitalists. The candidate must be willing to round in the hospital. The hospital rounds are purely on a consultative basis and include a comprehensive stroke unit.

Richmond University Medical Center is located on Staten Island in New York and provides state–of–the–art services, including neurointervention, neurosurgery, and radiologic services.
